That's right, I finally got around to putting together a little calendar showcasing some of my favorite photos taken last year. Why only photos from last year? I had a hard enough time selecting so few of my favorites from just the past twelve months, the idea of choosing from my entire library threatened to cause my brain to seize up in indecision. Plus, I felt my photography had evolved to the point, over the past year, to be print worthy.
Therefore, without further ado, I present you with "Points of Interest 2011" available now at Lulu.com.
These are my favorite memories from this trip.
Hearing the humpback whales singing underwater on nearly every dive was wonderful. At some spots they could even be heard while snorkeling. Also, I had the opportunity to see whitetip sharks snoozing under ledges during the day.
Amazing stuff all around.
Each of these cute little buggers were seen all over the wonderful coral reefs of Maui. A couple of the humuhumu-nukunuku-apua'a (yes, after seeing enough of these guys you do eventually learn their name) tried to scare me away from their territory (or nest). Thinking about it still makes me smile. Although, the humuhumu-nukunuku-apua'a probably don't feel the same about me. Très sigh. I wonder if it is possible to go though Maui withdrawals...
