THE BOOK WAS BETTER The Doubleclicks Album Kickstarter

The Doubleclicks just released their latest album on Kickstarter this morning, and I had the honor again of being a part of designing some of the rewards for this project, specifically the shirts. As always, it’s such a joy to work for Laser and Aubrey bringing their cute, meaningful, and fun ideas to life.

If you’d like some positive, supportive, and altogether awesome music that is sure to bring a smile to your face, I highly recommend checking out all their stuff.

‘The Book Was Better’ is about a lot of things: gender, dogs, cats, anxiety, Halloween, and pizza are some of the things. But the big theme is this: We spend too much time yelling on the Internet, and we should all try something else. Certainly we can’t stop using the Internet, that would be ridiculous. But just a tiny break sometimes, yeah — that’s probably good. Go to a museum. Go roller skating and break your arm. Try to throw a birthday party and don’t cancel it when you get overwhelmed at the very idea of human interaction.

It’s a comedy album.

Sidecar Astronauts - Play Again Album is LIVE

In case you missed it, Storm DiCostanzo, of the band Paul and Storm, just released his Kickstarted solo album today called Play Again by Sidecar Astronauts. It’s a delightful extravaganza of upbeat pop-tastic goodness. The perfect soundtrack to blast away the winter grey.

Also! I contributed a large portion of the artwork for this album. I’ve been a fan of Storm’s work for a very long time and I was thrilled and honored to get to design the art for this project.

But really, it’s all about the tunes. Storm did a fantastic job weaving together a sci-fi band, complete with tales of their adventures in space rocking out. You’ll get to see more of that once the videos are released, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I, for one, am excited to see where the Sidecar Astronauts go next. In the meantime, you can pick up a copy over at:

Eventually this album will be found in all the other usual music buying/listening places too.
