This past week's theme was MerMay, a drawing challenge on the social medias where one draws some sort of mermaid for each day in may (#mermay on the socials). I decided to mix things up and come up with some of your more unusual mer-creatures.
Surprise! I forgot to post these last week! Oh well, here they are now.
This, or rather last week's theme was "Fruit Salad". I didn't know where I was going at the start, but it seemed to turn out okay in the end. At last for raspberry. It's a fruit eat fruit world out there, y'all.
You know when you get a pint of fresh raspberries at the store and you're all "I love raspberries! They are sweet and delicious!", and then you taste one, and it's full of sour flavorless sadness? Yeah, that. Of course, homegrown raspberries are the best, but then you have to watch out for fruit fly larvae. I suppose it's a small price to pay for delicious raspberries, but I'm not quite ready to consciously add fly larvae/fly eggs to my diet. Those raspberries go to the dog. He doesn't seem to mind.
A third blog post in a week?! Believe me, I'm just as surprised as you are!
So... a few weeks ago I decided to start a daily sketch project. It had been a while since I did such a thing and was feeling the ol' itch to produce something on a daily basis (aside from the normal daily stuff). I was like, "Hey! I know! I should do a theme! Yeah!" and then my brain immediately gave me five hundred zillion ideas* because it's a jerk like that and knows I am terrible at making decisions. I was then like, "Gah! I cannot decide!" but then I decided I would just do a theme a week. Take THAT, jerky brain McJerk.
Two weeks in and I just realized that I'm now officially doing a Thing a Week. Daily. It makes sense in my head. Those of you who know that which I speak, *secret handshake*, otherwise, never you mind.
To be continued for an undetermined amount of time.
WEEK 1 - THEME = SHARK + THING
WEEK 2 - THEME = BOTS AND BEASTS
* Not very good ideas, mind you.
