    Your comment has prompted me to figure out what type of bird this little bloke is. You know, that turned out to be quite the task. You would think it being on display at an extremely popular zoo would help, but no. However, I am pleased to say that my tenacity prevailed and I discovered that this is a Golden-headed Manakin (Pipra erythrocephala) It’s a native to the northern Amazon. Now we can all sleep better at night knowing this. :)
