Here’s the first set of character cards that I did for Mur Lafferty’s audio novel Playing for Keeps. I was, and still am, very honored that she chose to use them as the illustrations for the official Playing for Keeps character cast page.
Characters from top to bottom: Keepsie, Peter, Clever Jack
These three illustrations have really helped me sort out how to ink hair. Granted there is still a lot for me to learn, but I am happy with how they turned out. I also had to do a little bit of experimentation with Keepsie’s power magnification glow. I wanted it to have a boundary, but not a sharp one.
