Thanks Brandt! I'm glad you enjoyed the image. :) I must admit, I'm a sucker for old architecture. It has so much more character than the hastily built modern stuff. Plus the aging process adds so much to it as well.

Hey Natalie!

I am an architect and this is freaking amazing. I'd love to extoll on all the nuances that make it great to me but I agree with the minimalist approach with a minimalist reaction. Amazing. Thank you.

Thanks! :) And to answer your question, no, I didn't apply any digital effects to the image. I don't think I even had to adjust the exposure on this one. Every so often I have to do that when processing my images. The color was from the flood lights on the old brick, and the city lights reflecting off of the low clouds.

Thanks for the WP welcome. I'm loving it so far. I am now wishing that I had made the move sooner. Ah well, so it goes, eh?

That is a very striking image. I'm no student of composition (or photography in general), so I couldn't begin to describe why it is so powerful in terms that make sense, but I do like it a lot.

Did you apply some sort of special effect (e.g., sepia tone), or is the coloring natural?

Welcome to the wonderful world of WordPress, by the way. Blogspot disagreed with my browser at work, making commenting nigh-impossible, and I never remembered to go back and add my two cents once I got home.
