Nyhaven at Christmas Time

Nyhaven - Copenhagen, Denmark

During the week of December 16th, my husband and I took a last minute trip to Sweden and Denmark thanks to the company he works for. Our first day was spent in Copenhagen Denmark before heading up to Helsingborg Sweden for the next five days. This photo was taken in Copenhagen at a place called Nyhaven (a.k.a. New Harbor). It was all decorated for the holidays with garlands stretching across the streets and lights everywhere. I found out later that Hans Christian Andersen supposedly lived in the top of one of these beautiful painted houses for a period. Now the houses are primarily filled with restaurants.
