Sunbathing

It’s that time of year when the dahlias are in full bloom. This shot was taken at the Swan Island Dahlia Farm near Canby, Oregon last Saturday. The place was huge! We only managed to get a fraction of the way through the farm before getting hot and thirsty. The entire place was in bloom […]

Happy Earthling Day!

Recently, the folks at LuLu TV made the call for user submitted scripts for their daily vlog, This Day in Alternative History (a.k.a. TDAH for the acronym happy crowd). I thought, what that heck, it would be fun to write a small script. So off I went to find an event that I could have […]

Egret

A friend has just purchased a digital SLR camera. She had been using film up to this point, so she wasn’t familiar with the options offered by the digital. So, we decided to run over to the zoo last Sunday afternoon, and I would help her out if she had any questions. It was an […]

Adventures of the Morning Glory

“Dammit Corrin! Watch out for the cloud daemons!” Walter screamed as the airship careened to the right. The aging wood and metal of the Morning Glory creaked and groaned under the pressure of the sudden turn. The cloud daemon that they had avoided slowly glanced at the ship and grunted before floating back into the […]

Ex-Tree

This is one of the many skeletons of trees left over from the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens. It had such a beautiful texture, I turned the image into black and white to accentuate the details. I also adjusted the contrast and shadows to highlight the texture of the wood even more. This photo […]

Incognito Sketch

Crusty McStevens was on the run from the law. However, with his new state of the art disguise kit, he was free to roam the streets confident that his real identity was hidden._________________________________
This one another one of those “wouldn’t it be funny” sketches. I wanted to do a guy that was using an octopus as […]

Airship - Steampunk Style

Yet another airship. I never tire of drawing these things. Although this is just a small sketch from my notebook, I was thinking about trying to apply a digital watercolor effect. Something like this style would go well with the steampunkness of the piece, me thinks.
