A couple of weekends ago we went to the Oregon Zoo. I realized that we hadn’t been since last September so as the weather was nice, we went. Unfortunately everyone else in Portland had the same idea. So, instead of parking in the overflow lot that required the catching of a bus shuttle, we opted to park up the hill by Hoyt Arboretum. It was a nice short walk though the forest to the zoo.
This photo was taken at Lorikeet Landing. It is an open exhibit where you have the opportunity to play lorikeet poo roulette by offering the birds some cups of juice. I am convinced that you cannot take a bad photo of these guys.

We’re going to the Toledo Zoo this Saturday; do you think you could come along and take photos to commemorate our day with family, friends and fuzzy animals? We’re going to take our camera, I’m sure, but the chances of me taking photos of this quality are slim to none.
I <3 the Toledo zoo! I haven’t been there since…. carry the 2… 1992-ish. However, I’m going to be spending the day with my mom and my husband for an early Mom’s day outing and brunch… well, that and the 3,000 mile problem. Sorry. ;) I do offer photography tips free of charge though. I like to believe that anyone can take good photos. :)
